At Simply Handy, we understand that plans may change. This Cancellation Policy outlines the terms under which you may cancel or reschedule our handyman services, including repairs, painting, maintenance, and property turnover services. By booking our services, you agree to this policy, which is incorporated into our Terms of Service.

1. Cancellation by You

You may cancel a booked service by contacting us at support@simplyhandytx.com or through our website’s booking portal. The following rules apply:

  • Notice Period: Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled service start time to avoid fees.
  • Late Cancellations: Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the service start time may incur a cancellation fee of 50% of the quoted service cost.
  • No-Show: If you fail to cancel and our team arrives at the scheduled time, you may be charged the full quoted service cost.

2. Rescheduling

You may reschedule a service at no additional cost if you notify us at least 24 hours before the scheduled start time, subject to availability. Rescheduling requests made less than 24 hours in advance may be treated as a cancellation and subject to the fees outlined above.

3. Refunds

Refunds for cancellations depend on the payment status and timing:

  • Prepaid Services: If you cancel at least 24 hours in advance, any prepaid amounts will be refunded in full, minus any processing fees, within 7-10 business days.
  • Late Cancellations or No-Shows: Prepaid amounts for late cancellations or no-shows may be partially or fully non-refunded, as outlined in Section 1.
  • Deposits: Any deposits paid to secure a booking are non-refundable unless the cancellation is made at least 24 hours in advance.

4. Cancellation by Simply Handy

We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule a service due to unforeseen circumstances, such as inclement weather, staff unavailability, or equipment issues. In such cases:

  • We will notify you as soon as possible via the contact information provided during booking.
  • You may choose to reschedule at no additional cost or receive a full refund of any prepaid amounts.
  • We are not liable for any indirect or consequential damages resulting from our cancellation.

5. Modifications to Bookings

Changes to the scope of a booked service (e.g., adding or removing tasks) may require a revised quote. We will communicate any price changes before proceeding with the service. If you do not agree to the revised quote, you may cancel the service, subject to the cancellation terms above.

6. Force Majeure

Neither party shall be liable for delays or cancellations due to events beyond their reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, government restrictions, or power outages. In such cases, we will work with you to reschedule or refund as appropriate.
